Zollernalb KORMORAN MAX ZKM1200 V2 – powerful brushless long-neck sander with integrated dust extraction
The Zollernalb KORMORAN MAX ZKM1200 V2 is a powerful brushless long-neck sander for professional sanding work on walls, ceilings and large drywall surfaces.
The combination of a powerful 1,200-watt motor, electronic speed control, integrated dust extraction and long telescopic system enables fast and controlled work progress in renovation, refurbishment and drywall construction work.
A special feature of the ZKM1200 V2 is its operation directly on the telescopic pole. Start, stop, speed and LED lighting can be controlled during work without having to put the machine down.
Powerful 1,200-watt brushless motor
The KORMORAN MAX ZKM1200 V2 uses a modern brushless DC motor with 1,200 watts of power .
Brushless motor technology eliminates the need for wear-prone carbon brushes. This reduces maintenance requirements and simultaneously promotes efficient and smooth machine operation.

Integrated dust extraction
The dust extraction system is integrated directly into the machine. The dust generated during sanding is captured directly at the sanding head and guided via the flexible extraction hose to the included dust collection bag.
This eliminates the need for an additional industrial vacuum cleaner in many work areas. Dust levels in the work area are reduced, visibility of the surface is improved, and subsequent cleaning efforts are minimized.
However, in the case of particularly dusty work or hazardous mineral dusts, a suitable external extraction solution or the prescribed protective equipment should be used.
Supportive suction effect on walls and ceilings
The integrated dust extraction system creates a supporting suction effect at the sanding head. This allows the sanding pad to make easier contact with wall and ceiling surfaces when properly adjusted.
This can reduce the required continuous contact pressure, especially when working overhead. However, the machine must still be controlled and safely operated with both hands at all times.
Speed control from 800 to 2,200 rpm
The grinding speed can be electronically adjusted between 800 and 2,200 rpm .
This allows the machine to be adapted to different surfaces, abrasives, and work steps.

Operation directly on the telescopic pole
The most important functions can be controlled via the control unit integrated into the telescopic pole.

Separate external control unit
Additionally, the ZKM1200 V2 has a separate external control and power supply unit with a digital display.
The speed can also be adjusted on this unit and monitored via the display. Due to the separate design, a large part of the control electronics is located outside the grinding head, which is exposed to dust and heat.
225 mm sanding system with hook and loop fastening
The KORMORAN MAX ZKM1200 V2 uses standard 225 mm hook and loop sanding discs . The underlying backing plate has a diameter of approximately 215 mm.
The large sanding surface allows for rapid work progress on walls and ceilings. Sanding discs of different grits can be changed quickly and without additional tools using the hook and loop fastening system.
Circumferential LED light ring
The grinding head is equipped with a bright, circumferential LED work light .
The flat side light makes unevenness, grinding marks, transitions, and unfinished areas directly on the surface more visible. The lighting can be switched on and off independently via the controls on the telescopic pole.
Telescopic length of approximately 140 to 200 cm
The standard telescopic pole can be adjusted from approximately 140 to 200 cm .
This allows normal wall and ceiling surfaces to be worked on often without constantly having to move a ladder. The padded grip area supports safe and comfortable handling.
Optionally extendable up to 6 meters
For high ceilings, stairwells, halls and larger room heights, the machine can be extended with optionally available extension poles.

The additional bars are not part of the standard scope of delivery and must be selected or ordered separately.
With long working lengths, leverage and force requirements increase. Therefore, the machine must be operated with particular care and the work area must be secured accordingly.

The connection cable is over 4 meters long. This provides a generous range of motion, and for many tasks, an additional extension cable is not necessary.

Notes
Optional extension poles up to approximately 4, 5 or 6 meters are only included in the scope of delivery if they have been explicitly selected or ordered separately.
The machine should be guided evenly across the surface without excessive pressure. For long working lengths, particular attention must be paid to safe machine operation and maintaining a sufficient distance from other people.
Before each use, the grinding discs, abrasives, extraction hose, telescopic connections, power cable and machine housing must be checked for damage.
Damaged or heavily worn grinding wheels must not be used. Before cleaning, maintenance, or changing the grinding wheel, the machine must be completely switched off and disconnected from the power supply.
